fun facts about samantha claire.png

  1. I’m addicted to lemon-flavored Spindrift.

  2. If you have a child who uses Abcmouse.com, you’ve definitely heard my voice!

  3. Both my parents are musical (Mom is a Grammy nominated jazz singer and Dad is one of the original producers of the 80s band Heart), so I blame them for my addiction to music.

I’m a native Angeleno who has been immersed in the arts since I was six-years-old. Though I went to the Los Angeles County High School for the Arts (LACHSA) for theater and musical theater, I discovered my passion for writing when I was bored out of my mind while attending community college.

While there, I ended up writing several political pieces for a student-organized campus zine and my creative writing professor integrated my gothic short story But Just Ourselves into his curriculum. I then transferred to UCLA where I graduated Cum Laude with a BA in English, specializing in Renaissance Literature. I also have a copy editing certification from UC Berkeley, which helped me land a copy editing job at Burgeon Design and Editorial.

When I’m not writing, you can usually find me working as a voice over actor, drinking green tea, or petting my cats (Jules Verne and Margaret Atwood).
